Why Work with a QKA® Professional

About the QKA® Credential

ASPPA’s Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA®) credential is the leading certification for retirement plan professionals. Earning the QKA® credential demonstrates one’s expertise in the duties of a retirement plan administrator. The QKA® credential attests that the holder possesses the knowledge and skills required to implement and administer defined contribution retirement plans.

To obtain a QKA® (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) designation, an individual must: have at least three years of experience in the retirement plan industry, complete the "Retirement Plan Fundamentals" course if they have less than three years of experience, and pass both the QKA-1 and QKA-2 credential exams administered by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).
